How to Remove ICC Profile from an Image Using Photoshop ?

• What is ICC Profile ?

An ICC profile is a set of data that characterizes a color input or output device, or a color space, according to standards annunicated by the International Color Consortium (ICC). Profiles describe the color attributes of a particular device or viewing requirement by defining a mapping between the device source or target color space and a profile connection space (PCS).

• How to Remove ICC Profile from an Image ?

Here, I Use Photoshop for removing ICC Profile from the image.. these are the steps for removing it from the image.

STEP 1

• Open Adobe Photoshop >> File >>New
• In New .. go to 'Advanced' Options>> Click on it

STEP 2

• In the Advanced option go to Color Profile:
• Advanced >> Color Profile >> (Change the option)

STEP 3

• Change the Color Profile to "Don't Color Manage this Document"
• Color Profile >> Don't Color Manage this Document

STEP 4

• Simply Save the PSD document to any Image format.
• By applying this u can see there is no ICC Profile active in the image

Ta... daaaaaaaa .... your ICC profile is removed... :)
